Dedication, cooperation and Unique ability of leadership: Keshav Prasad Maurya
Since 1989, a new era ushered in Indian politics. That era was regarded as era of coalition governments. In other words, there were two major changes came in Indian politics in the 1990s - first, the formation of coalition government at the centre and second, the issue of construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was accelerated. Both these issues changed the condition and direction of Indian politics, which had a great impact on Keshav. At the same time, the recommendations of the Mandal Commission on reservation for social and economically backward castes were implemented. It has a tremendous reaction. Few years ago, in February 1986, the door of Babri Masjid was opened after the order of Faizabad district court. Keshav Prasad Maurya was also growing up in this changing political environment, and all these political events inculcated him a selfless service towards Hinduism. After this, he started to going in to the programs of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). In that period, he started to participate in the work of organization and also pariciapte in Shakha with one of his best friend Dr. Badri Vishal Tripathi. Keshav had a daily routine to work for VHP programs with the beginning of the day.

In February 1, 1986, Keshav actively took part in the massive movement against the order of Faizabad district court.

Keshav Prasad Maurya with Ashok Singhal ji
After receiving secondary education, Keshav Prasad Maurya met with contemporaneous President of the VHP, Mr. Ashok Singhal ji. Since 1989, while having many responsibilities of the RSS and the VHP, most of his time used to be spent among saints. During this time, he had well versed with the VHP’s Sacraments and rituals.

Keshav ji always used to participate in all the Bhajan-kirtans, satsangs and symposium of VHP. In his early days, he had a very cordial interaction with the senior VHP campaigner and the organization leader of VHP honourable Mr. Thakur Gurjan Singh Ji. Under the guidance of Hon'ble Shri Thakur Gurjan Singh ji, Keshav ji used to work for organization with full dedication. In the meantime, Keshav ji used to sing a song from the organization:

"Sanghthan tum badhe chalo panth par chale chalo
Bhala ho jisme desh ka wo kaam tum kiye chalo”
Impressed by his actions, honesty, integrity and hard work towards the organization, the VHP has been assigned him with the special responsibility of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. Keshav Prasad Maurya was appointed to conduct various acts of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement like Shriram Jyoti, Shila Poojan etc. In order to open the locks on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, he also took part in the mass-awareness movement. Considering his efficient leadership, the organization chose him to lead the group of Kar Sewak for the construction of Sri Ram Temple on October 30, 1990 in Ayodhya. With his tactics, cleverness and ability of leadership of Keshav ji, the administration lent themselves to knee in front of him.

In the decade of 1990, Keshav used to be the head of security of the team of youths for various visits formed by the Bajrang Dal. During 1992, Keshav was struggling to build Ram temple in Ayodhya region while serving as a minister of Ayodhya Provincial Organizations in various roles. In 1992 there is an episode of Ayodhya when former DGP and former MP Shrish Chand Dixit, who was very old, wanted to see the construction of Ram Janmabhoomi with his eyes. For which Keshav decided to give him a glimpse of the Ram Janmabhoomi. The administration had to bow down before their organizational work and the belligerent personality and they were granted permission. Keshav ji also appointed the post of Organization Minister of Delhi, Vishwa Hindu Parishad in 1997- 1998.

Keshav's struggle has been incredible on the subject of Gau raksha, and his role in such struggles in Prayag was very important. Keshav ji played a significant role in the arrangement of food, lodging, etc. to the people active in the Kar Sewa which was going on for Ramjanam Bhumi.

However, several years, Keshav ji's role in constructive works such as Kumbh and Ardhakumbh has been very commendable. On the important occasions of Kumbh and Ardhakumbh, he used to work together with Sage-Santo and together with his daily needs, he used to arrange it quickly.

Keshav Prasad Enters Active Politics
Keshav ji's personality has always been dutiful and struggling. In the 2000s, Keshav entered active politics after the command of Hon'ble late shri Ashok Singhal ji. In 2002, under the leadership of Hon'ble Shri Rajnath Singh ji when BJP formed a government in Uttar Pradesh and at the center there was the government of Atal Bihari Bajpai Ji. In this period he started serving as a loyal worker of the party.

Slowly the time passed and their image became popular as a Hindu leader and a vivacious speaker and all Hindu society saw him as intense Hindu leader. Seeing his combative personality and impressed by the workers' faith in him, For the first time, Bharatiya Janata Party launched him as a candidate of Legislative Assembly election in the year 2004 for the Allahabad City Western. This is where his political life started. This area was in full possession of goons and mafias, where no public meeting was easy. But Keshav ji worked on creating a strong Hindu Convention in this area on the strength of its influence and efficiency. Once again, in the regional people's work to revive the faith.

Journey from MLA to Deputy Chief Minister
In the year 2012, the Bharatiya Janata Party's top leadership gave him the candidate from Sirathu Legislative Assembly in view of their dedication and works towards the organization. For the first time in his great leadership Saini organized such a gathering that no such public meeting could be held again in this area. In this huge public gathering, people started raising slogans like “Sabko Dekha Bar-bar, Keshav Bhaiya Abki Bar (we saw everyone again and again, this time only Keshav Bhaiya). Consequently, Keshav Prasad Maurya was elected MLA from Sirathu assembly by heavy votes on March 6, 2012.

Prior to the elections of 16th Lok Sabha 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sat in full public opinion. During this time, the BJP's central leadership wanted to take the fight against clean and battle-minded young candidates. In this context, the national president of BJP, Mr. Rajnath Singh ji, with the consent of the local workers and senior officials, selected to Keshav Prasad Maurya as the candidate for Phulpur Lok Sabha seat.

At that time, the BJP in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Amit Shah ji himself took part in the election rally to win the seat of Phulpur. People of Phulpur Lok Sabha seat expressed their faith in from Keshav Prasad Maurya with margin of more than 3 lakhs votes. So hereby a common man who sells a newspaper and tea became member of Lok Sabha, was actually a result of hard work of all-BJP’s workers, supporters and faith of the BJP-Central leadership. All dedicated BJP workers and supporters of the Phulpur parliamentary seat made a history by making votes victorious. Keshav Prasad Maurya, who had won from Phulpur, was also unexpected for the party as the BJP had tasted victory for the first time in this seat. Since independence, this parliamentary seat was not only the parliamentary area of the first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, but here all the veterans have contested but the first time Phulpur Congress is free from the tireless efforts of Keshav.

From 2014 to 2016, as a MP, Keshav ji continued to play an important role by joining in the happiness and misery of the regional public. By making concurrence with the Central Government's ministers and Government Excellence, making a continuous effort to develop the area, created a new history on the path of development.

Keshav has taken two new initiatives to make Uttar Pradesh's roads even better. The first; PWD to ensure accountability of 'Third Party Security Audit' started. In which the PWD inspects the roads of length 5 km and above, the state technical institutes located in the state, NIT. and I.I.T. will do it.
